About Us

Vanaja is an initiative by the Rural Youth Ecology Group of Swadhina that offers you a variety of eco-friendly products made or grown by them in the remote tribal regions. These groups are focused on eco-friendly livelihood opportunities that help them secure a better future for themselves; at the same time, the effort is also to build environmental consciousness among the people so that a more environmentally friendly lifestyle is adopted by all. Products purchased from Vanaja help to sustain these groups and provide a scope for self-reliance of marginalised young men and women. Every time you purchase a Vanaja product, you endorse the cause of the environment and support these young people in their quest to adopt a livelihood that is earth-friendly and futuristic. This effort is initiated by the ERM Foundation, UK, and is supported and implemented by Swadhina.

Our Products

 Vanaja Products are locally grown, produced, or made by the local indigenous youth based in the remote forest regions. All Vanaja products are bio-friendly and care is taken to minimise waste that can harm the environment or health. These are some of the current products available in Vanaja’s portfolio. 

  1. Baboi grass( Sabai grass ) products such as mats, bags, and baskets. 
  2. Indian organic spices such as Turmeric powder, Red Chilli powder, Coriander powder, Fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, and Dried Fenugreek leaves. 
  3. Organic pulses such as green gram, horse gram. 
  4. Essential forest oils such as Neem and Mohua. 
  5. Utilities and decoratives made of bamboo. 
  6. Hand-made bio-friendly accessories such as earrings and necklaces. 
  7. Jute bags 8. 100% bio-friendly soaps, face packs, and hair packs. 
  8. Bio-friendly decoration items such as Chou Masks. 
  9. 100% organic fertilizer and pesticides
